Steffen Krüger Arnaud Deschin galerie 16-18 rue des Cascades 75020 Paris T +33(0)6 75 67 20 96 — MARCEL HÜPPAUFF, MAJA KÖRNER, PHILIPP SCHWALB, DIMITRI SUSIN With the complicity of VÉRONIQUE BOURGOIN Opening on Friday March 10, 2017, 6-9 pm Exhibition from March 11 to April 4, 2017 Open from Wednesday to Saturday 2-8 pm, Sunday 2-7pm, or by appointment "Today's painting is superficial, chic, stylish. It has lost its religion since a long time. It is organized like a media. It likes the media of our time and copies it all. Is is geometric, likes to be printed and is often a print on its own. Today's painting is non colorist, and is part of an integrated critical stand. The painting of this exhibition is not like that at all. And it is not either just the opposite." "Do not foresee Rendez-vous as an exhibition, but as an encounter around painting and light. An appointment that brings together long-time friends, French artists and artists from different European countries to question the stakes of art and its practices. This is not about knowledge, but about the visible and the common experience, recallings times where art had both a social and a sacred dimension. "
